  • Theoretical findings

The thesis has developed and clarified the concept of motivation for the work of university lecturers, indicating expressions of job motivation of university lecturers and pointing out the factors that affect the job motivation of private university lecturers in Vietnam.

The thesis has outlined a model of motivation and factors influencing the motivation of private university lecturers in Vietnam.

The thesis has developed a set of tools for measuring job motivation and a set of tools for assessing the level of factors affecting the motivation of private university lecturers in Vietnam.

  • Practical findings

The thesis has assessed the current state of job motivations of private university lecturers in Vietnam.

The thesis has identified 10 factors that affect the motivation of private university lecturers in Vietnam. In that, pointing out the "empowerment and mission" factor that is counteracting the driving force. This is a new and unexpected discovery because it is against the general trend in Vietnam.

The thesis proposes a number of measures to increase the motivation of private university lecturers in Vietnam. In particular, "Encouraging participation and contribution of faculty members in building and developing schools" is a solution that is associated with the characteristics of private university and currently only private university is applicable.

12. Ability to apply to practice:

The thesis is a highly reliable reference. Its research results are highly applicable in the formulation of policies to enhance the motivation for the work of lecturers in private universities in Vietnam in the near future.

Comparative studies of job motivation of lecturers in both public and private universities in Vietnam. Studies of the relationship between job motivation and job satisfaction of private university lecturers in Vietnam.
