The Faculty of Business Administration, VNU University of Economics and Business was established in accordance with the Decision 421/DHKT/CV-TCCB by the UEB Rector on May 22^nd 2007.

The Faculty of Business Administration originated from the Business Administration Department, Faculty of Economics - VNU. There have been graduates of the Faculty at bachelor., master’s and doctorate levels in Economics and Business Administration, among whom many alumni are holding important positions in the Communist Party, the Government and enterprises. Building on this foundation the school will continue training and developing experts for business administration.

The Faculty of Business Administration has cooperated with and received investment from, the Gami Group - one of the strongest groups in Vietnam. As a result, the faculty has great prospects to develop training programs and scientific research connecting closely to the requirements of enterprises. This is an accurate development strategy in implementing training programs and scientific research associated with the enterprises’ needs of the VNU University of Economics and Business.

Key research orientations:

• New theory which combines management theories of the two major civilizations of the East and West.

• Taking the advantage of Eastern philosophy in studying enterprises characteristics to promote harmony.

• Studying Eastern military strategy (China, Vietnam, and Japan) in developing business in modern business environment.

• Studying to develop new decision-making on the base of behavior of Oriental people.

• Studying the differences and similarities between Eastern and Western management styles.

The Faculty of Business Administration - UEB is implementing international joint training programs with Troy University (USA), Bakery University (USA), Paris 12 University (France), Namyang Technological University (Singapore), etc. The Faculty of Business Administration also has close relationship with many organizations inside and outside the UEB, especially the GAMI Group, Capital Securities Company, etc.

 - By 2012, the Faculty of Business Administration aims to become the leading organization in providing entrepreneurs and management idea with consulting services.

 - By 2022, the Faculty of Business Administration strives to be the leading organization of Vietnam and to be highly regarded in Asia in training business managers and in researching modern Eastern and Western management thoughts.
